Hsin-Chi Hung pitched in the CPBL for 5 years.
Hung represented Taiwan in the 2012 World Junior Championship, going 1-1 with a 3.00 ERA. He was drafted by the Uni-President Lions in the 6th round of the 2016 CPBL Draft, and he went 2-1 with a 7.80 ERA in 2017. He was 1-1 with a 3.43 ERA in 2018, but his ERA rose to 7.97 in 10 games in 2019. Hung was placed in the minors for the entire 2020 season, and he was 3-8 with a 7.67 ERA there. He also set the CPBL minor league record by allowing 16 homers in a season. The Lions released him after the 2020 season, and his professional career ended.
Hung's repertoire included a fastball (peak 88.8 mph), curveball and slider.
Overall, Hung was 5-2 with a 6.47 ERA ,pitched 72 1/3 innings and struck out 62 in 5 seasons in the CPBL.
