Biographical Information[edit]

Hsien-Wen Yeh pitched in the CPBL and TML for 5 years.

Yen was drafted by the Taipei Gida in the 1st round of the 1999 TML draft, and he went 1-1 with a 6.86 ERA in 1999. He struggled in 2000 as he was 2-1 with a 7.86 ERA, and he broke out in 2001. Yeh had a 3.49 ERA in 19 games, and he had a 2-4 record. He improved to 8-6 with a 3.82 ERA in 2002, but he also set the TML record by allowing 10 hits and 9 runs in an inning on August 23. When the two leagues merged in 2003, Yeh was assigned to the First Financial Holdings Agan. However, his ERA was 7.68 in 28 games, and he was released after that season.

Yeh’s repertoire included a fastball, slider, forkball and curveball.

Overall, Yeh was 13-13 with a 5.23 ERA ,pitched 282 innings and struck out 150 in 5 seasons in the CPBL and TML.
