Biographical Information[edit]
Hoi-sun Chung played for the South Korean national team in the 1993 Intercontinental Cup, going 2-for-10 with a walk, double and three RBI. Backing up Oh-young Kwon at 3B and Jae-myung Jang at SS, he had two assists and on error. The Ssangbangwool Raiders drafted him in the 15th round of the the 1997 KBO draft, and he was traded to the Samsung Lions for Jong-doo Lee and Sung-hyun Kim. He was 1-for-2 in 1999, and that was his only appearance with the big club before the Lions released him.
