Hobbema, renamed Maskwacis in 2014, is a First Nations community in central Alberta, located 40 miles south of Edmonton, AB. It consists of reserves of the Ermineskin Cree First Nation and the Samson Cree First Nation. Jimmy Rattlesnake was born and died here.
