Biographical Information

SS-OF Hiroyasu Tanaka spent four seasons with the Chunichi Dragons. He was 2 for 8 with a walk and 2 runs in 22 games in 1962. He played 86 games in 1963, going 0 for 11. He pinch-ran frequently, scoring 15 runs and going 5-for-10 in steal attempts. Tanaka was 0 for 2 in 1964 and struck out in his only at-bat in 1965. In 115 games in NPB, he only had 22 at-bats, getting two hits and a walk. He struck out 8 times. He stole 5 bases in 10 tries and scored 18 runs.
