Biographical Information[edit]
Pitcher Herman Watts was one of the members of the Cincinnati-Cleveland Buckeyes who were seriously injured when one of the team's car was involved in a crash near Geneva, OH on September 7, 1942. Teammates Joe Brown and Smoky Owens were killed instantly in the accident, and Eugene Bremer was also injured.
