Henry Rodriguez signed with the Toronto Blue Jays at age 17. He debuted as a pro with the 2006 DSL Blue Jays, hitting .175/.289/.197 in 47 games. He batted .249/.306/.354 with the same club in 2007, striking out in 56 of 189 AB. He came stateside with the 2008 GCL Blue Jays but only eked out a .119/.213/.238 batting line with 19 K in 42 AB. In 2009, he hit .225/.326/.350 in 19 games for the GCL Jays.

Rodriguez has primarily played catcher, though the 2009 Blue Jays Media Guide and other sources list him as a left-handed thrower.
