Biographical Information

Henry Polhemus was an outfielder and second baseman for the Brooklyn Excelsiors in 1860. It is unknown when he started playing exactly but he retired from baseball after the 1862 season. He invested in a cloth business and became a multimillionaire. He was also a relative of fellow ballplayer Jack Remsen.
