Henderson Bunnies

In 1929 the Henderson Bunnies from Henderson, NC replaced the Raleigh Capitals in the Piedmont League. The club finished fifth of six teams with a 54-85 record. OF John Jones hit 31 homers in the Piedmont that year, while playing for both Henderson and High Point. The club also had two former big-league pitchers in Bunny Hearn and Pol Perritt. The next season the club became known as the Henderson Gamecocks.
