Biographical Information[edit]
Heinie Peitz had a 16-year career, mostly as a catcher but also playing third base one year and second base another year. His brother Joe Peitz is famous for hitting .423 with a .731 slugging percentage in the only 26 at-bats he ever had in the majors. The two played together on the St. Louis Browns in 1894.
He umpired a total of three games in the National League in 1901 and 1906.
