Biographical Information[edit]
Infielder Heinie Mueller spent four seasons in the major leagues with the Philadelphia Phillies from 1938 to 1941, hitting a home run in his first major league at-bat.
Mueller also spent eleven active seasons in the minor leagues between 1929 and 1950.
He managed parts of three seasons in the minor leagues in 1946, 1949 and 1950.
Heinie served with the United States Army in the Pacific Theater of War during World War II.
