Biographical Information[edit]

The son of major league player and manager Harvey Kuenn, Harvey Kuenn Jr. (technically Harvey Kuenn III, but listed in most sources as Jr.) played briefly in the minors and then scouted.

Kuenn was picked by the Montréal Expos in the 20th round of the 1977 amateur draft. He hit .215/.353/.237 for the '77 GCL Expos and led Gulf Coast League outfielders in fielding (65 PO, 3 A, 0 E). In 1978, he was in the Milwaukee Brewers chain, going 9 for 42 (all singles) with 3 walks and 16 whiffs for the Newark Co-Pilots. He again was error-free, with 15 putouts and 2 assists.

Kuenn later was an area scout for the Brewers. He signed Drew Anderson, Ben Hendrickson, Brock Kjeldgaard, Brad Nelson, Jake Odorizzi, Cody Scarpetta and Caleb Thielbar.
