Haruto Inoue has pitched in Nippon Pro Baseball and been on the Japanese national team
Inoue was drafted by the Yomiuri Giants in the 4th round of the 2019 NPB draft, and he stayed in the NPB Farm Leagues for his first two seasons.[1] He had a 6.00 ERA in 7 games with the big club in 2022, and he got his first career win on September 23 against the Chunichi Dragons. Inoue was the 8th Giants rookie to get his first career win that season, and that set the NPB record. He allowed 15 runs in 12 1/3 innings in 2023, but he pitched well in the ni-gun as he was 7-0 with a 0.74 ERA. He led the minors in ERA and strikeouts. Thus, Inoue won a spot in the rotation in 2024, and he was 8-5 with a 2.76 ERA. He started in the 2024 CLCS final stage Game 4, and he pitched 6 innings with only a run allowed. The Giants were still eliminated by the Yokohama DeNA BayStars in 6 games. He then represented Japan in the 2024 Premier 12, and he started against Australia in the opener.
