Harry A. Redman
- Born October 27, 1880 in Girard, OH USA
- Died April 26, 1916 in Youngstown, OH USA
Biographical Information[edit]
Catcher Harry Redman played in the minor leagues from 1905 to 1914. He reached 100 hits in a season just once (no surprise given the limited workload for catchers and the Deadball Era reducing offensive numbers) —in 1912, he hit .279 with 127 hits in 132 games for the Mansfield Brownies. The previous year, he'd hit .280/.346/.380 in 97 games for the same club. In 1913, he managed the Huntington Blue Sox, replacing Samuel Wright partway through the year.
He died at 35 years old in a steel plant accident.[1]
