Harold Gérard debuted in the Belgian First Division in 2007, going 2-2 with 5 saves and a 5.30 ERA; he hit .265/.351/.294. He played for Belgium in the 2007 European Junior Championship that year. In 2008, Harold was 2-4 with 7 saves and a 6.26 ERA but still made the Belgian national team (their youngest performer) in the 2008 European Championship Qualifiers. He did not get into a game in that event. He was 6-5 with 14 saves and a 2.35 ERA for the 2009 Namur Angels.
