Biographical Information[edit]

Pitcher Hank Hemmerly won 104 games in nine seasons of minor league ball. He briefly reached Triple-A in his final season, 1962, but never made the major leagues. He played in the Cincinnati Redlegs (1954-1955) and Milwaukee Braves (1956-1962) systems.

The hurler won over 10 games seven times and over 15 games thrice - the first instance in 1956, when he was 18-9 with a 2.97 ERA in 32 games (27 starts) for the Lawton Braves, the second instance in 1957, when he went 15-8 with a 2.36 ERA in 37 games (22 starts) for the Evansville Braves and in 1959, when he went 15-11 in 44 games between the Cedar Rapids Braves and Jacksonville Braves.

Overall, Hemmerly was 104-81 in 318 games.
