Biographical Information[edit]
Guido Grilli pitched in the big leagues in 1966, spending time with both the Boston Red Sox and Kansas City Athletics. In the minors, he pitched in Vancouver and Toronto and elsewhere.
Grilli was the first of three big-league players (through 2008) with the last name "Grilli". He came out of the University of Memphis, the second major leaguer to do so. He is the only big-leaguer, however, remembered with the first name "Guido", although Wedo Martini's real name was Guido.
