Ostioneros de Guaymas

From BR Bullpen

The Ostioneros de Guaymas (Oystermen) played in the Mexican Pacific League between 1945-1991. They won seven titles, all before Mexico joined the Caribbean Series. Alfredo Ríos was a big star for the team. The name has since been used by lower-level clubs in Guaymas, Sonora. At the start of the 1980's the team had a player development agreement with the Seattle Mariners that lasted four years whereby they were renamed the Marineros de Guaymas.
