Biographcal Information[edit]

Gregory Palanzo has pitched in the Italian Baseball League.

Palanzo set the Western Connecticut State University record with 6 wins in a season and was the first player from the school to win a game in the NCAA Tournament. In 2004, he came to Italy to pitch in Serie B; he won a league-best 15 games for Poviglio. He moved up to Serie A2 in 2005 with Lodi and finished third in ERA and wins. He was assistant coach at Danbury High School in 2006. In 2007, he led Serie A2 with a 2.08 ERA. He moved up to the Italian Baseball League in 2009 but struggled at 1-9, 4.40 for Reggio Emilia. He led the circuit in losses.

In 2010, Palanzo was 6-5 with a 5.01 ERA for T&A San Marino. In the 2010 European Cup, he allowed two runs in seven innings in a win over the Tenerife Marlins Puerto Cruz. Still with San Marino in 2011, the right-hander allowed two runs (one earned) in six innings over two games and beat the Rouen Huskies.
