Biographical Information[edit]
Greg Guilliams has been a successful college coach.
Guilliams was a 3-time NAIA All-American. He hit .224/.374/.306 with 19 walks in 28 games for the 1984 Pulaski Braves in his only professional playing season; he fielded .882 in the outfield. He was a graduate assistant coach at Eastern Kentucky University in 1987. He coached Penn State-Behrend in 1991. In 1992, he became head coach at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. He was 661-256-1 in 16 seasons there, taking his team to the NAIA College World Series six times, including finishing second nationally in 2004. His clubs led NAIA in ERA five times. He moved on to Valdosta State University from Embry-Riddle. He won over 500 games in 17 years before moving to Flagler College.
Guilliams brother, Todd, has been a longtime college assistant coach, including coaching for Greg at Embry Riddle (1992-1999, 2001-2007) and Valdosta State (2008-2015). Todd has also coached at Eastern Kentucky (1988-1990), Dallas Baptist (2000), Western Carolina (2016), Kentucky (2017-2021), and Utah (2022-). Todd's son Casey became an assistant coach at Valdosta in 2020.
