Greg Goff

Biographical Information[edit]

Greg Goff is a college coach.

A pitcher in college, Goff was an assistant at Delta State University from 1994-1997, with two trips to the Division II College World Series included. He was pitching coach at Southeast Missouri State University from 1998-1999. From 2000-2003, he was pitching coach at the University of Kentucky, mentoring Brandon Webb and Joe Blanton. From 2004-2007, he was head coach at the University of Montevallo, going 152-84 with a trip to the 2006 Division II College World Series and a school record for wins in both 2006 (43) and 2007 (47).

In May 2007, he became a head coach, taking the reigns at Campbell University. Taking over a 11-win team, he improved them to 21 victories in 2008. The next year, they won 27, the school's first winning campaign in eight years.

After the 2014 season, he left Campbell and took the head coaching position at Louisiana Tech. After two years there, he moved up to the University of Alabama. He went 19-34-1 in one season there and was fired.

Goff became a volunteer assistant coach for 2018 at Purdue University, which is coached by Mark Wasikowski who Goff had coached with at Southeast Missouri. Goff was promoted to head coach for 2020.
