With the Charleston Rainbows, he started 23 games and went 6-10 with an ERA of 4.22. His K/9 fell to 4.5, as well. He tied for fifth in the South Atlantic League with 7 balks. He remained in A ball for 1993, this time pitching for the Waterloo Diamonds. He was a disaster, posting a 1-2 record and a whopping 6.66 ERA in only seven games.
