Biographical Information

Third baseman Graham Pauley was drafted by the San Diego Padres in 13th round of the 2022 amateur draft, out of Duke University. He made it quickly to the majors as he was on the Padres' roster for the season-opening two-game series in which they faced the Los Angeles Dodgers in Seoul, South Korea on March 20-21. He made his debut in the first game, striking out as a pinch-hitter against Evan Phillips in the bottom of the 9th in a 5-2 loss. He was one of three Padres players to make their MLB debut in the game. He was coming off a season during which he had been named the Padres' Minor League Player of the Year in 2023.
