Grace Elizabeth Reidy Comiskey

Biographical Information[edit]

Grace Comiskey married J. Louis Comiskey in 1913, and together they had three children: Dorothy, Grace Lou, and Chuck. Her husband became owner of the Chicago White Sox in 1931, and she inherited the club following his death in 1939. On March 4, 1941, she was elected team President. She owned the team until her death, and her daughter Dorothy succeeded her as the club's principal owner.
