Goss Stadium at Coleman Field

From BR Bullpen

Originally known as Coleman Field, Goss Stadium has been home to the Oregon State University Beavers since 1907. Located near the center of OSU's campus, the stadium was renamed Goss Stadium at Coleman Field in 1999 when it underwent extensive renovations funded in part by the Goss family. In 2002, lights were installed at the park, allowing night games to be held for the first time in the history of the field. Thanks in part to the success of the 2006 OSU baseball team, and the incoming Corvallis Knights Summer Collegiate Baseball team, Goss Stadium at Coleman Field underwent extensive renovations for the 2007 season. The grass playing surface was traded in for turf in the infield, while the outfield was allowed to remain grass. Permanent box seating was installed to increase the stadium's capacity, and the stadium put in its first video scoreboard, which was considered state of the art for 2007 and an unusual luxury for a collegiate stadium.
