Biographical Information[edit]

Pitcher Gordie Tench played in the minor leagues from 1950 to 1954, spending most of the time in the St. Louis Browns/Baltimore Orioles system.

Racked with poor control, he pitched 183 innings for the Redding Browns in 1951, going 16-9 -- with 163 walks. The next year, he was 11-10 with a 4.82 ERA between the Pocatello Bannocks and Anderson Rebels, walking 113 batters in 166 1/3 innings.

Overall, he was 48-40 in 128 games over five seasons. Per records available, he walked 487 batters in 676 innings of work.
