Biographical Information[edit]
Gord Leduchowski played for Team Canada.
A RHP/SS/3B, he was with the Balmoral Orioles in the 1966-1967 Winnipeg Senior League and with the Fort Rouge Mallards in the Winnipeg Junior League in 1968-1979. In 1970, he began playing for Mayville State College as well as for the Mallards and Orioles. In 1972, he was with the South End Sioux as well as Mayville State, then in '73 it was Mayville and the McAuley Blazers. In 1974, he was on the Interlake League All-Stars and finished his time at Mayville. In 1975-1976, he was on the Teulon Cardinals; the latter year, he was 4-1 with a 1.76 ERA to lead the Manitoba Intermediate League in ERA and tie for the win lead.
Leduchowski hit .319 and was 1-0 for the 1977 Binscarth Orioles and also spent time with Teulon. He was with Canada for the 1977 Intercontinental Cup. He batted .366 for Binscarth in '78, 9th in the Manitoba Senior League. He hit .491 for Teulon in 1979, going 2-0. Stats beyond that are unavailable. He later coached for 20 years for Teulon and also coached for Canada in the 1990 World Junior Championship and 1991 World Junior Championship; the 1991 Canadian National Junior Team was the first Canadian team to win a global baseball tournament and would be inducted en masse into the Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame later. He won induction into the Manitoba Baseball Hall of Fame as well.
