Biographical Information[edit]
Pitcher Glenn Davis played in the Los Angeles Dodgers from 1963 to 1965. In 1963, he was 17-9 with a 2.77 ERA in 32 games (29 starts) for the Salisbury Dodgers. The next year, with the Salem Dodgers, Davis was 6-5 with a 4.01 ERA in 50 games (one start) and in 1965, he was 3-10 with a 4.45 mark in 38 games (10 starts) between Salem and the Santa Barbara Dodgers. Overall, he was 26-24 with a 3.49 ERA in 120 games (40 starts).
On May 14, 1963, he threw an eight inning no-hitter against the Lexington Giants. His team lost, 1-0. It was Salisbury's second no-hitter in a week, with hurler Jimmy Davis tossing a no-no against the Rock Hill Wrens on May 8. It was their third no-hit game in a year, with twirler John Stolarchuck pitching a zero-knock match against the Newton-Conover Twins on August 14, 1962.
