Biographical Information[edit]

Glen Richards pitched in the minors and for the Australian national team.

Richards allowed five runs (four earned) in 1 1/3 IP for the Australian Provincials in the 2004 Claxton Shield. He was signed by the Atlanta Braves in 2004, and he recorded a solid 0.33 ERA in 17 relief outings for the GCL Braves in his first year (1-1, Sv, 29 K in 27 2/3 IP). He was 0-1 with a 19.29 ERA in the 2004 Claxton Shield. His ERA was 1.93 in 10 games for the Danville Braves in 2005, but he allowed 10 runs in 4 1/3 innings for the Myrtle Beach Pelicans. He left the Braves system after the 2005 season. Richards also pitched for Australia in the 2005 Baseball World Cup, allowing four hits, four walks and two runs in four innings. He allowed four hits, six walks and six runs (all earned) in 2 2/3 IP in the 2006 Claxton Shield.
