Gillett, CO

Gillett, also spelled Gillette is now a ghost town located in the mountains of central Colorado, near Cripple Creek, CO. It was a mining boomtown starting in the 1880s, but began a slow decline in the 1900s and was practically abandoned by the 1940s. Most of the remaining buildings weer destroyed in a flood in 1965.
