Biographical Information[edit]
Outfielder Gilberto Jiménez signed a minor league contract with the Boston Red Sox on August 2, 2017. Jimenez was named Boston's Latin program Player of the Year. He spent the 2018 season with the DSL Red Sox, hitting .319 in 67 games. In 2019, he hit .359 in 59 games for the Lowell Spinners, winning the New York-Penn League batting title. He was also named a Baseball America Short-Season All-Star.
