Biographical Information[edit]
Gerardo Amaro hit .438/?/1.083 for Mexico in the 1992 World Junior Championship. He tied Enrique López for 5th in average, outhitting Alex Rodriguez by quite a bit. [1] He was 1 for 8 for the Mexican national team in the 1995 Intercontinental Cup, with a walk and a RBI; he had one putout backing up Luis Bustillos in right field. His hit came off South Africa's Alan Phillips. [2] His pro career was brief - he hit .197/.251/.249 in 69 games for the 1998 Broncos de Reynosa. [3]
