Biographical Information

George Yanen served in World War II. He played in the minors from 1948 to 1951 and in 1953. A two-way player, perhaps his most notable season came on the mound. In 1949, he went 22-12 with a 2.21 ERA in 38 games for the Paris Panthers, leading the East Texas League in victories.
