Biographical Information[edit]
George Yanchak has been a college coach.
Yanchak was a three-time All-Conference player at West Liberty and helped the team make it to the 1990 NAIA College World Series. He was an assistant at West Liberty from 1991-1993 then was an assistant at West Virginia for two years. From 1994-1999 Yanchak worked in the Financial Aid department at Miami University.
From 2002-2007, Yanchak assisted at Fairmont State College. He was then promoted to head coach. He was 16-33 in 2008, 16-23 in 2009, 6-42 in 2010 and 14-33 in 2011. Overall, he was 120-244 in eight seasons as head coach.
In November 2015 Yanchak moved to West Virginia University in a non-athletic role as Director Mountaineer Hub.
