Biographical Information

George Vass was a freelance journalist. He covered a variety of sports for the now defunct Chicago Daily News from 1958 to 1978; from 1979 to 1994, he wrote for the Chicago Sun-Times. He authored several books and, over a period spanning five decades, contributed regularly to Baseball Digest.

He served in the United States Army.
