Biographical Information[edit]
George Soriano was signed by the Miami Marlins as an international amateur free agent out of the Dominican Republic on August 19, 2015. By the time he made his major league debut with the team on April 16, 2023, he had become the longest-tenured player in the organization among those on the 40-man roster. He did very well in his debut, taking over for ace Sandy Alcantara after he had been roughed up by the Arizona Diamondbacks for 5 runs in 6 innings. George pitched the final three innings of the game, giving up just one hit while striking out two.
