Biographical Information[edit]
George Radbourn pitched for the 1883 Detroit Wolverines at age 27.
After his playing career ended, pitcher George Radbourn was a deputy sheriff and a cigar maker. He died of dropsy at age 47.
The SABR biography of Charley "Old Hoss" Radbourn states that he was George's first cousin. George was born and died in Bloomington, IL, while Charley died in Bloomington.
