Biographical Information

George Polasky was one of the relatively few players from the 1930s left at the time of his death in 2015. He played for the Greensburg Green Sox in 1937 and the Cooleemee Weavers (fewer than 10 games) in 1938. Both teams were in the Brooklyn Dodgers system.

He served in the Army Air Corps during World War II. He is a member of the Hudson County Hall of Fame.
