Biographical Information[edit]

George Piktuzis was a Chicago, IL native who grew up rooting for the Chicago Cubs. George made it into two games out of the bullpen for his favorite team early in the 1956 season. A left-hander who threw a no-hitter for the Los Angeles Angels against the San Francisco Seals in the Pacific Coast League on July 21, 1955, he was only in his mid-twenties when his mound career was cut short by an arm ailment in 1958.

He owned a cattle farm in Wisconsin for several years before relocating to the West Coast where he died on November 28, 1993, at age 61 in Long Beach, CA.
