Biographical Information[edit]
George Orme likely deserved a longer look than he got in the majors, since his on-base percentage in his cup of coffee was .556.
He had played for the Brantford Red Sox until that team's season ended, and then went to play for the Boston Red Sox in 1920.
He also played for the Toronto Maple Leafs of the International League. On May 9, 1922, in a game against the Newark Bears, Orme played right field, was lead-off batter, and went 2-for-2 with a homer and three walks.
He managed the Guelph Biltmores of the 1930 Ontario League.
