"The Detroits have taken on trial G. Bryant of the Chickering & Son Piano nine of Boston." - Sporting Life, August 19, 1885

George Bryant played one game for the Detroit Wolverines in 1885. He manned second base, where 31-year-old Sam Crane, the regular, hit .192 that year. Joe Quest, 32 years old and also used frequently at second base, hit .195.
