Biographical Information[edit]
George Brice was a pitcher for Team Canada in the 1971 Pan American Games. He threw a three-hit shutout against Puerto Rico and lost a 3-0 game to Nicaragua. He had a 1.17 ERA in 15 1/3 IP in the Games, second among Canada's regular pitchers to Glennis Scott's 0.00. He also was with Canada for the 1973 Intercontinental Cup. He also pitched his Victoria team to the Canadian senior title in 1970; in 1999, the team was inducted into the Victoria Sports Hall of Fame.
Brice had also played basketball in college, then later worked at PriceWaterhouse Coopers and coached youth baseball. His sports interests also included racquetball and golf. He battled ALS at the end of his life.
