Biographical Information[edit]

Relief pitcher Geoff Brown began his professional career in 2012.

He was originally drafted by the Kansas City Royals in the 23rd round of the 2007 amateur draft out of high school, but opted not to sign. After going undrafted during a college career at the University of Washington, he joined the independent Joliet Slammers for 2012, going 1-3 with a 3.67 ERA in 44 games with them. The Los Angeles Dodgers purchased him in late August and he appeared in three games with their Single-A affiliate the Great Lakes Loons, posting a 5.14 ERA. Overall, he had a 3.88 ERA in 47 games that year. In 2013, he was 12-1 with a 2.08 ERA in 28 games (one start) for the Loons and earned a spot on the Midwest League Post-Season All-Star team. He was with the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes in 2014 and went 4-6 with a 4.50 ERA in 41 games.
