Biographical Information[edit]
Gene Layden was an outfielder who had a cup of coffee with the New York Yankees in 1915. He was a World War I Veteran (BN). Later he retired as a supervisor for a Park in Brookline. He died at age 90 from heart disease at Forbes Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA and is buried at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Pittsburgh.
