Biographical Information

Catcher Gene Holbert was drafted in the first round, 12th overall, of the 1969 amateur draft by the Atlanta Braves. He played four seasons in the minor leagues, until 1972, but never advanced past Double-A. Overall, he hit .228 with seven home runs in 210 games.
