Biographical Information[edit]
Gary Thorne has been a sportscaster. He worked for the New York Mets (1985-1988, 1994-2002), Chicago White Sox (1989), ABC, ESPN Radio, Baltimore Orioles (2007-2020). He has covered the World Series regularly, the All-Star Game and the Little League World Series as well as having covered hockey, football, and wrestling throughout his career too. He also was co-owner of the Maine Guides. He was on the Veterans Committee for the 2016 Hall of Fame Election. Due to contract disagreements, the Orioles let him go as their announcer in 2020.
