Biographical Information

Pitcher Gary Grudzinski played in the Pittsburgh Pirates organization from 1982 to 1985. In his first year, he went 4-1 with a 3.51 ERA and 45 strikeouts in 51 innings for the GCL Pirates. However, his earned run average was well above 6.00 in each of the next three summers.

After baseball, Grudzinski worked in construction. He died of lung cancer in 2011 at age 48.
