Gary Burns
Gary Burns has won over 500 games as a college coach.
Burns was 17-5 in junior college with ERAs of 1.16 and 1.92. Transferring to Vanderbilt, he was 9-3 with four saves in 1980. He was assistant coach at Indiana State University (1982-1985), Vanderbilt (1985-1991) and Clemson University (1991-1992). In 1994, he became the first head coach at Rockhurst University in 18 years; he won 28 games that year. He took Rockhurst to the 1999 Division II College World Series. He was 547-369 after 17 years at the helm.
