Biographical Information[edit]
Gabriel Valarezo pitched for the Spanish national team that won Bronze in the 1989 European Championship. He appeared in the 1991 Intercontinental Cup, striking out 12 in 9 1/3 IP. He was 0-2, leading Spain in losses, but his 6.75 ERA was second on the team behind Felix Cano. Valarezo was awful in the 1992 Olympics, allowing 10 hits in 17 at-bats and walking 9 in 2 2/3 IP. His 33.75 ERA was Spain's worst and he took the loss against Japan.
