The GCL Athletics won the Gulf Coast League in both years of participation.
In 1967 Clarence Stoner was named to the All Star team in the outfield, the team's only AS.
The 1968 version won despite having no players (or manager) named to the All-Star team. William Ingram tied for the league lead with 8 wins and John Hefferon led the league with a 1.67 ERA and tied with 80 SO.
